Our story

A shared vision.
A practical way forward.

Energy access starts with listening—and lasts when communities lead.

Why we began

Power that creates possibility.

Power United was founded by Chris, Todd, and Sebastian, bringing together construction, education, and renewable energy experience. Their work in the Solomon Islands, the Pacific, and Latin America showed how reliable power can open doors for rural communities.

Our approach combines hands-on engagement, practical training, and locally managed systems. We work alongside Rural Training Centres so the knowledge and benefits stay in the community.

How it works

From solar power to lasting change.

We build with communities, combining reliable energy with practical skills and local ownership.

1

Listen

Partner with local leaders and training centres to understand community needs.

2

Build

Students and staff construct the Powa Haus and help install the solar system.

3

Learn

Hands-on training builds the knowledge to operate and maintain the system.

4

Grow

Light and device charging create services and income for the school community.

A living classroom.
A community service.

Solar panels and batteries power light and device charging. Students learn through construction, solar science, and day-to-day operation. Small charging fees help generate income for the school.

Our Vatu pilot also introduced solar thermal food dehydration to support food preservation and practical agricultural learning.
